 Poster Contest General Entry Rules
All entries will be under the control of the La Salle County Fair Poster Contest Committee, but the organization will in no case be responsible for the loss or damage that may occur to the entry.
 
Time of Entry
All posters must be turned in to your campus office no later than October 15, 2004.  If home-schooling, please contact Jeannie Hart at (830)879-3270 after 5:00 p.m.
 
Eligibility
Exhibitors eligible for entries in the Poster Contest must be from the Cotulla Independent School District area, a resident, or children of a landowner of La Salle County.  All entries must be checked in and out through the Poster Contest Committee.  All youth must abide by Texas House Bill #72 (passing) to be eligible to enter.
 
Entry
A.  Must be on one-quarter (1/4) of a poster board, 14" x 11" provided by the Fair Association.  Home-schoolers may pick up poster board at the Ramirez-Burks Main Office.
B.  The poster should have a white or light-colored background
C.  Poster must be flat (no three-dimensional entries).
D.  Entry must pertain to the theme.
E.  Each child may only have one entry per year.
F.  Each entry must have the following on the back, left-hand corner onlyName, Grade, School, and Teacher. (Posters NOT having the correct information in the right location may be disqualified.  The information is very important to judge the posters in the right category and for knowing who and where the awards and posters belong.)
 
Judging
All sessions of judging will be closed to everyone except the Poster Contest Committee and Judges.  Grand Champion and Reserve Champion will be judged from all of the blue ribbons winners by the Fair Board.
 
Ribbon Awards
Each article exhibited will be awarded a ribbon according to the judges' decision.  Decision of the judges is final.
  Grand Champion $25.00 and Rosette  
  Reserve Champion $15.00 and Rosette  
  Blue Ribbons $5.00
