 General Entry Rules - Crafts and Textiles
All exhibitors will be under the control of the La Salle County Fair Crafts and Textiles Committee, but the organization will in no case be responsible for any loss or damage that may occur to entries or persons.
 
Time of Entry
All hand-crafting entries must be at the La Salle County Exhibit Hall between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 11, 2005.
 
Eligibility
Exhibitors eligible for entry in the hand-crafting division must be from the Cotulla Independent School District, a resident, or children of a landowner of La Salle County.  All entries must be checked in and out through the Hand-Crafting Committee.  All youth must abide by TEXAS HOUSE BILL #72 (passing) to be eligible to enter.
 
Judging
All judging sessions will be closed to everyone except the Hand-Crafting Committee and judges selected by the Hand-Crafting Committee.
 
Individual Entries
An exhibitor may enter only one item in each class.  An entry that has received an award at the La Salle County Fair may not be re-entered at a later date.
 
Premiums
Each article exhibited will be judged on its merit and warded a First (Blue), Second (Red), or Third (White) ribbon.  The article of Blue ribbon quality of each category will have the potential to become the Grand Champion or the Reserve Champion.  A Grand Champion and a Reserve Champion will be selected in each division.  The Grand Champion and the Reserve Champion in the Elementary Division will receive the premiums and rosettes designated for the Grand Champion and Reserve Champion. One premium check will be written per entry.  This amount will be divided among students involved with the project.  All premiums will be delivered to the designated teachers to be disbursed to the students.  Grand Champion and Reserve Champion in the Adult Division will receive a trophy and a rosette as designated.  Pictures will be taken at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, March 11, 2005.  Students must abide by the Junior Livestock Show and Sale dress code (no shorts, T-shirts, etc.) for pictures, in order to receive premiums.
 
Time of Pick-Up
All entries must be picked up by 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2005.  Any entry not picked up by this time will forfeit any winnings and will be discarded.

Elementary Grades Pre-K - 5

Elementary, Middle School, and High School Divisions

Middle School Grades 6-8   Grand Champion $100.00 and Rosette
Senior High Grades 9-12   Reserve Champion $50.00 and Rosette
Adults Non-students 18 years and up   Top 4 Blue Ribbon Scores $25.00 each
   
 

Adult Division will receive trophies and Rosettes for Grand Champion and Reserve Champion.

Articles for exhibits only will be accepted as space permits.  Any article not fitting one of the three categories listed will be placed in the Fine Arts Division.
