What
is the LaSalle County Wild Hog Cook-Off and Fair?
Here in Cotulla, Texas we are cooking up fun and a
whole lot more. Held every year on the second weekend of March, you
can enjoy parades, sample foods, pursue crafts, and support your favorite
candidate at the Queen's, Little Mr & Miss or Pet Parade Contests.
You can cheer on youngsters at the Livestock Show, or winners of the
Food Show Contest. The cooking gets really wild with cooks from far
and wide matching wits with their own special recipes in the Wild Hog
Cook-off, or showing off their artistic and presentation skills in the
Showmanship and Presentation contests. Sunday, you can find the local
cowboys showing off their skills in one of the wildest rodeos you can
find in South Texas. Cowboys compete with wild hogs and cattle in the
dust and dirt. There is plenty of fun for the whole family, including
a carnival for the kids.
The 2008 Wild Hog Cook-Off and Fair will be taking
place Thursday, March 6th through Sunday, March 9th.
Be sure to check out our official Schedule
of Events for event dates, times, and locations.
Our 2008 Wild Hog Cook-Off and Fair theme is Hog
Wild Hawaiian Style.
